B.C. Seniors Games Photos Aug 22, 2012

Some of the winners at the  B.C. Bottom photo:  John Kusch, Dave Shepherd and Herb Peters.  Pickleball was played at Burnaby South High School.  It has two gyms with 12 badminton courts, but not enough room behind the baselines for serving, so they made 6 pickleball courts by putting pickleball lines with blue tapes  (5 courts were used, one for practise). About 90 players participated in age categories: Competitive and Recreational.  Today Mens and Womens Doubles (finished at 12pm), Mixed Doubles tomorrow till 3pm, Singles on Friday morning.  Pickleball Canada supplied six USAPA portable nets and conforming paddles if needed for the Burnaby Games.

B.C. Seniors Games Burnaby, B.C. Aug 21-24, 2012.  Pickleball will be played at Burnaby South Secondary School.  Practise time on  Pickleball courts Tuesday from 12:30 to 4:30.  You can practice and then pick up your accreditation package at The Bill Copeland Centre.

PB Parking - The Burnaby South Secondary School is on Rumble Ave, parking is behind the school off MacPherson Ave at the Michael J Fox theater.

Remember - you can only pick up your own, plus 3 other players accreditation packages from 4 - 9pm Tuesday 8/21 at the Bill Copeland Centre. Please pass this info to your partners and friends playing Pickleball.

National Championship Social Dinner Phoenix Lounge July 7 Photo
